Never timely with "Weekly Deals" update on website

Fry's web team is the WORST! They can never update their web site for sales until AFTER the store opens ! Why bother trying to get an in-store "one per customer" deal if you don't know it's there? The store ain't just around the corner to stop by... This happens every week! I've contacted them multiple times, but only get usual, "We're sorry", but nothing changes. The web site says that "sale prices update at approximately 2:30 AM PT", "approximately meaning up to DAYS later. I had a 30 year career in IT (including web content management), and have never seen a more incompetent group. I've taken to ignoring them altogether, and taking my business to MicroCenter. I suggest others do too. MicroCenter will give you store stock quantities and and 18 minute order to pickup time for the local store.

Refused to take an American Express card

600 E Hamilton Ave, Campbell, CA 95008. Refused to take an am-ex card because the chip not working. Even though the card reader displayed the message “use mag strip”. The cashier (no name tag) said NO! you can not use the mag strip & cancelled the transaction. I asked for a manager. She Called Mark Torress (Emp # 115648) also said “chip not working you cannot use that card”. I asked if he could run the card manually (the store has done this before) he said again “NO, use another card”, & started to walk away, I asked him fr hs name & told him I was going to contact the main office, he replied “go ahead”. This is very bad customer service!! What I don’t understand is that PCI compliance states if the chip does not read after 3 times it is ok to use the mag strip. Fry’s does not follow this part. You also don’t have apple / android pay on your Verifone card readers like gas stations, restaurants, hardware & convenience stores

It has been two months since I took my HP computer in to the Fry's location in Plano, Tx (Nov. 13, 2017). I have since moved and as of today Jan. 19, 2018 I still do not have a resolution. They told me I will be getting a replacement in the store, but there is a delay with retrieval of my information off of my old hard drive. I have been the one to initiate updates and to find out status. I really wanted to resolve at the store level, but since I have been dealing with this for 2 months, I know am going to corporate headquarters in hopes of a quick resolution.

Do not go here! I ordered something from them online 12.31.17. First, their website didn't work. Had to make a phone call (wait 25 minutes) and place my order over the phone. Never got a tracking number. Called back 1.02.18 to ask why I haven't received a tracking number yet. They had to verify my order? WTF? I was then told I should have a tracking number issued to me that night, 1.02.18. Then I looked up my order on their website 1.03.18 and it said CANCELLED. I couldn't believe it! No one even emailed me. I called them back (30 minute wait time) and they said that it didn't go through because of my bank. I called my bank and that was not the case. Called back (another 30 minute wait time) and they still kept telling me it is my bank not letting the transaction go through. And that all they could do is place another order and "see" if it would go through. I'm sooooo pissed off. And will never do business with this place again. Oh and P.s. tried to email customer service and it wouldn't work. So basically you will be stuck on the phone for 3 hours. Good luck!

If you can, just don't.

I came in for a pickup item because MY EMAIL said it was ready. I came in and what do they do? "We actually don't have it." Tell me in the email so I don't waste my time. I don't know how you guys are still in business. If you bother to send an email, be sure to complete it in it's entirety, I can not see what is so difficult about the email. You have these so called sales that are hard to buy on your ancient website from the 90's and when or if your customers come to you, you had one if not zero in stock you pathetic bunch.

Fry's Electronics online order - Horrible Expereince

Ordered and paid for a software digital download 25 hours ago. Got a message that I would receive an email with the download information. Have not heard anything. This morning the order status disappeared from my online account purchase history. Twice spent almost 30 minutes on hold to talk to someone--they would check on it and get it moving. Still nothing. Will not buy from Fry's Electronics again. Customer service, communication, and the marketplace experience is so much better at Best Buy and Amazon. Same Old Problems with Frys Rebates

I forgot what it was like to deal with Fry's "great rebate" offers. I purchased the Kaspersky Anti-virus 2018 software online and printed out the rebate instructions. No problem. Until, I tried to print out the Rebate Mail In form. After six (6) unsuccessful attempts to print it out - each attempt was answered with Not Found - I called Customer Service. The gentleman answering was able to send me the form via email after he was unable to access the rebate form online. He said "I found it by going to Google.............." Nice gentleman, very helpful BUT he did not take away the sting from being jabbed by Frys once again. I guess that I am a slow learner. There is an old adage about "the bitter taste of poor service lingers long after the sweet taste of a low price".

Poor customer service in electronics

We were suppose to receive a delivery on a TV and had a scheduled date and time. We checked with the customer service in electronics 4 times and they stated it was still scheduled to deliver. The time frame came and went and we never received a call. We called them again, and they had not received the TV to even deliver to us. We never received a call to let us know that they would not be delivering the TV to us at the scheduled time. As of right now they still cannot give us a delivery date or time that we will receive the TV. It's been 2 weeks since we ordered the TV. This will be the last time I purchase anything with this company because no one took the time to call us, as we stayed home a day from work to accommodate the delivery. We still do not know when we will receive the TV. The electronics manager was not willing to call to get an ETA on their po's that they should have received. Very disappointed in the customer service that has been provided.

When it arrived I accepted and signed for it but noticed I was being charged $599 + tax's. Called the local store to find out why, and was told it was not there problem, I was instructed to call the online number. Customer service service told me it was not there problem and they could not help me. They instructed me to call the store back. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, none were available but one would return my call. 2 hours later I got a call back. Took about an hour and I was told my credit cart would be credited the difference in 3 to 5 days.

Fry's deceptive ads

I just tried to purchase a 65" Samsung tv that was advertised with a Promo code. I checked availability and supposedly it was at the store I chose. After a long wait for processing, I get an email saying the tv was not available. Last week, the same tv was advertised and I go there to purchase, not available. The salesman said he another similar one for $300 more. Same thing happened about two weeks ago with a Sony cell phone. I get the store and was told it was unavailable. Its happened too many times to tell. I'll never shop there again.
