Purchased a 65" Samsung TV from Fry's online for local delivery. TV arrived and 1 of the gentlemen that delivered the TV asked my daughter (25 years old) "Do you want us to unbox it" she said no as the wall unit that we were going to mount it on was being delivered the following day.

The next day we unboxed it to find out that 1/4 of the screen was black and non-functional. It took several hours and phone calls to the Milton, GA store to get someone to call me as the store managers were too busy with customers and I was told that they would not accept it as a return as my daughter refused to have the delivery people unbox and inspect the unit for damage.... this was not told to her as both she and her brother were both present and this was not explained.

They have since told me that I have to deal with Samsung and that only they can do that on my behalf. It has now been 21 days and there has been no resolution and all they can tell me is "You just have to wait". I am now having to file with our local small claims court to see if I can get this resolved.

Word of advice to everyone that reads this:

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM FRY's ONLINE:

Most large electronic shops will price match. If you find a deal at Fry's go to another more reputable store and have them match Frys price.

DO NOT GET LOCAL DELIVERY or SAME DAY DELIVERY:

Fry's local delivery is very sketchy. For example: The online orders are treated as in store purchases. This means you can not deal with Fry's headquarters or customer support if you have ANY issue with your order. They just rent trucks and hire movers to deliver the items.

IF THEY ASK TO UNBOX THE ITEM... LET THEM:

All we were asked was "Do you want us to unbox the item" we had no idea that if you say no you are accepting the item "As Is".

I will not order or purchase anything from them again. I would suggest you do the same or at least beware that thier customer service is very poor. Just google "Fry's Electronic Customer Support Complaints".

BUYER BEWARE!

Assuming you paid for it by credit card, dispute the charge---defective merchandise and refusal of merchant to rectify the problem. This is the great advantage of paying via credit card.

If by debit card, then good luck. They already have your money, altho you can dispute it but that may or may not work well for you.

I will give it a try although it was a Visa Debit Card....not sure how that will work out
