Awful, Out-of-date Store, Lied about Merchandise Being In Stock

Fry's website said the store on Hwy 59 @ Wilcrest in Houston, TX had the items I was looking for in stock. I went to the store (depressing experience). The items were not in stock and salesman told me to order online, which I did. Now, a month later, after Fry's has had my money all this time, I receive an email telling me that they don't have the merchandise in their warehouse and to advise them what to do with the order (cancel or wait to see if ever shipped). I have been checking my front door all this time to see if items ever shipped (we have a lot of package bandits in Houston). What a waste of time. This company is poorly run and totally out of date. Never again.

Frys Electronics - Do not have them mount TVs for you
They mounted 3 TVs and damaged my walls. The worst of them has multiple holes, damage to the wall, and stress cracks. This is a new build house so the wall was perfect before before they came. Management refuses to resolve this and we spent thousands of dollars on equipment and then the installation. They did a terrible job and the worst part is they refuse to make it right.

Assuming you paid for it by credit card, dispute the charge---defective merchandise and refusal of merchant to rectify the problem. This is the great advantage of paying via credit card.

If by debit card, then good luck. They already have your money, altho you can dispute it but that may or may not work well for you.

Poor Price Matching

Buy online, do not even bother with price matching with these folks . They come up with any weak excuse to not price match. I found the product which was an LG 4k monitor $326(amazon) and $327(newegg). Both listed as sold by amazon/newegg as well as third-parties. But the employees go out of their way to suggest its being sold by third-parties only and not the official source. Could have argued my point and made a scene. But Fry's employees pretty much told me they do not want my business at all. A Lesson Learned The Hard and Expensive Way

I purchased a "Refurbished" Laptop Computer from Fry's and was told I would receive a 90 day warranty. About 87 days later the computer died. I attempted to get an exchange and was informed rather rudely by the salesperson that the Fry's warranty period was 30 days. I informed him that was not what I was told when I bought the laptop or I would never have bought it in the first place. He told me that the refurbisher offered a 90 day warranty, I asked the sales guy how I could get in contact with the refurbisher and he said "He didn't know." I should have gone to WalMart where I would have paid a bit more for a new laptop. I have been a Fry's customer for 20 plus years. I will not be in the future.
