Fry's Manhattan Beach, CA Terrible Check out experience September 30, 2017

To have a line of approximately 50-75 people with ONE checker actually working was ridiculous. When I asked for a manager, I was told there was none. The worst part of the experience were the 5-6 employees sitting around behind the counter chatting away with NO regard for their customers at all. It felt like we were back in the 1990's. I will not go back. I am adding words so this can appear. How silly is this that I have to generate 100 words. So I will just keep typing. This is the kind of silliness and bureaucratic crap that makes people nuts.

DP MOS FET 50WX4

MODEL NO. MOS-FET-50WX4, AFTER MARKET CAR AUDIO DECKS WITH DVD POP-UP SCREENS ARE BEING SOLD IN STORES AND ONLINE UNDER THE BRAND NAME DP and Pioneer. Many of the features on these decks work fair to good but the decks are basically JUNK. I purchased one from Fry's Electronics, and in less than two years of operation, the plastics hinge that holds the detachable face to the main unit snapped off. I took it back to Fry's under the extended warranty I purchased, and they gave me a replacement deck and ended the warranty. About 6 - 9 months later, on the same model new DP unit, the video display went completely white ending the use of the deck for watching videos or viewing a full display of the units functions. I contacted DP and asked for a repair or replacement of the unit. They advised me that after 90 days I was on my own and that they would not repair or fix the unit.

Bad Bad Bad, just horrilbe

I gave money upfront for a warranty, now I have lost that again in wasted food......................its been 3weeks. I left on vacation to hopefully come home to a repaired fridge. Now here is Fry's problem, they do not tell you when you pay for your warranty that a third party will come to your home as they don't have in house mechanics. So the third party person could care less as they work at an appliance company servicing their customers first. Do you think they care about Fry's image NO. I will never purchase from Fry's again, and the people who answer the calls at Fry's are no help at all......it's duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Can't be mad at them you can just hope they get a better job.

Sale items NEVER in stock

I've had two bad experiences with Frys. The first was for a TV that was on sale. Went first thing in the morning and they sold out and only had floor model. Next was for a refrigerator, sold out and only had floor model. Was told on the phone that the refrigerator was flawless so we had it delivered and it had multiple dents. Did not accept and they still charged my card. I've been trying for three weeks now to have them remove the charge. NEVER AGAIN will I shop at Frys. When I contacted the store the Manager was RUDE. BAIT AND SWITCH Save the headaches and shop elsewhere!!

FRYS ARE THIEVES

I bought a TV online to pick up at the store. Item wasn't ready had to wait 20 minutes. Had them load for me. Got home the screen had a big black streak. Called them on hold for 25 minutes, they said bring it back with original packing. I drove the 20 miles one way. The looked at it and blamed me and wouldn't give me a penny and made me load it back up. My wife and I handled the TV so gently and they blamed us for the damage. They said they had to contact Samsung and they would call me back. They never did. I called 4 more times with over 25 minute waits. I was either disconnected or they couldn't find anyone. Finally reached them by email. They wanted to take pictures. I said i would do it and send them. They wanted a picture of the TV on. When we went to do that they we discovered they never put the power cord in when they tested it. I called over and over again finally reaching someone who of course won't make it right, I'm out $650 for a TV that never has worked and FRYS would not make good on it.

Bought a Tenergy TN270 Li-ion Battery Fast Charger for my flashlight open up the clear packaging as soon I took out the battery out of the box and open my flashlight to install the battery found out it was a little different type but same size and length. Put everything back in the package, items clear of scratches and damage, drove to Fry's Electronic at City of Industry explain my situation, customer service called his immediate supervisor and then she explained that the store policy doesn't except open item. I ask if I can receive store credit, the supervisor immediately denied the request. Without any written policy shown to me or any proper explanation as to why they can't refund they just simply ignore my situation. NEVER BUYING FROM FRY'S AGAIN, FROM NOW ON BUYING FROM MA & PAP STORE.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH FRY'S

Placed order on 2/11/2017 with and estimated receive date by me of 3/2/2017. My account debited for items ordered, of which the web site depicted IN STOCK, for total amount. Called today, 2/28/2017 and in hold *** for 3 minutes when Mr Personality Customer Service rep checked my order to find "on back order along with 200 others, but I was not notified. Gave me number for "Home Office" of which I spoke with manager(?) A lot of "uhs" later, I canceled my order and requested a refund. This manager(?) stated money not taken, only a hold for that amount until shipped and attempted to put problem on my shoulders as I didn't elect "Ultra quick shipping"!!!! Sorry for the tangent, take your business elsewhere.

False adds lose customers

I receive several emails with products and promo codes...but every time i go to purchase (4 times) it's never in stock. I think these are false adds to get a customer in the store in hopes that you'll purchase something else. Wasted time and gas only to be told the same thing over and over. I have over 50 others on social media that agree with me...SHOP ELSEWHERE with honest retailers Fry's or Fruad's. Never never never never never never never never never never no more.......rude customer service reps.......horrible management false adds ...no time for games and bull##*#....best buy help us...your word,is your bond

The restocking fee is a lie. You got scammed by management just like I did.

Dirty thieves took 10% from me.

First I would have gotten 100% back as store credit. I wanted it to cash like I paid.

At this point he makes up all kinds of lies, tries to prevent the return, then comes up with the BS 15%. After I point out that it is not ANYWHERE, in writing, AT ALL (he couldnt even find anything) all of a sudden it becomes negotiable. 10%. Clearly, just one series of lies after the other.

Frys Electronics - Nch Software Burn Essentials Conversion Software Review

Software ordered through Fry's website patently does not do what the Fry's website stated it would do. This is FRAUD. Fry's will not refund, even though product delivered less than 14 days ago. Fry's directs me to a phone number at the software developer that will only let you through if you pay for customer service. Result: To H with me for trusting Fry's. Well, at least I'll never make THAT mistake again.

False order ready email, waste consumer time

i order online, fry's send email notified that my order is ready to pickup. when i got to the store, they did not have it ready. they said they are looking for my order which maybe misplaced. i waited patiently for 1 hour and came back to check and they still did not have my order. this time , they ask for my order number again, i told them i gave it earlier, and waited for one hour, why asked me for the number again. i still provided the order number again and ask them how much longer i have to wait. she just gave me a dirty look and said she had to go to collect all items again, but did not tell me how long. i waited for another 15 minutes and then gave up. they really waste my wait time and the time i have to drive there. very disappointed at Fry's

Frys Electronics - Customer Care Review from Gilbert, Arizona

Your employees are more interested in talking to other staff then helping costumers. We asked 4 different employees to show us a Coaxial Switch. No one helped, just pointed where there thought it was. It took us a long time to find. We where there at 9:30 am today. There where barley any costumers in the store but lots of staff. Very poor service! Staff needs better training. We will not come back

Deceptive warranty

I bought a 65 " sharp tv june of 2014 with a 2 yr. warranty.i thought the warranty started after the manufactures warranty but it ended up starting the same day, so I was screwed out of a year warranty. This lousy brand tv went out 2 yrs. 3 months after I bought it and fry's said that there was nothing they could do. I will never buy anything from this store in Webster, Texas or any other fry's and never buy any product made by SHARP. It must be an inferior product, so I am out over $1000.00 for 2yrs. 3 months use.

I left the tv at fry's to get an estimate on fixing it. I waited a week and called on the status and was told that they do not work on tvs that are not under warranty so I left it there and never heard from them. I or anyone else in my family will never go there again.
